Historical black college Tennessee State University brought out every fan of Dej Loaf and Future Thursday night for their homecoming concert. Selling over 3,000 pre-sale tickets it was guaranteed to be an event that was going to be packed with screaming fans. The building was packed, every seat was full and there wasn’t any part of the floor empty.
Nashville’s 101.1 The Beat DJ, Jazzy T kept the music flowing while Zach Boog kept the crowd hyped while they waited for the concert to begin. Dej Loaf set the stage on fire performing “Hey There,” “Back Up,” “Blood” and “Try Me.” Keeping the stage hot, wearing a TSU varsity jacket DJ Esco took the crowd to another level before bringing out his compadre Future. Setting the stage on fire, Future performed favorites including “The Drought is Over,” and “Blow a Bag” from his number one album Dirty Sprite 2. Following up with mixtape hits, “March Madness” from 56 Nights, “Monster” from Beast Mode, and a few throwbacks including “Itchin.”
“The evening was a great way to officially start TSU homecoming,” says Terrika.
Standing shoulder to shoulder on the floor, audience members enjoyed themselves rapping along with Dej Loaf and Future to every song.
“It was well worth the waiting in the long lines because I didn’t have to go to the club or another city to see some of my favorite artists,” says Annette P.
Closing the concert Future said thanked TSU then followed up with a tweet, “I preciate TSU for the luv tonight.. #DS2”
